Past and present
The &tradition Blown is a shiny bridge between past and present. The London designer, Samuel Wilkinson, used high-tech 3D software to create the pattern for this lamp’s casting mould. With this pattern glass blowers shape the glass shade in the traditional mouth blown way.
Exploration
This lamp started out as an exploration of what light does when it’s surrounded by glass with certain patterns. Wilkinson started to play with this idea to see which reflections, refractions and deformations he could create. The result is a classy suspension lamp which provides direct as well as beautifully diffused light, which looks as if it’s drawn on the walls.
